Hope lies in the East and especially China. The West is too entrenched in a mind set of winners and losers. The concept of cooperation is almost anathema to “Americans”. The destiny of the West is extreme dystopia or violent Civil War. In either case, the hope is that they collapse without using nuclear Armageddon so that the rest of the world can breathe and flourish.
