It started with the genocide of the native Americans, then the horrors of slavery, then a colonial period ... then world war II whose real purpose was for the 'west' to determine who will inherit the British empire .... passing through Hiroshima and Nagasaki ... and then followed with 80 more years of infamy. Vietnam, Combodia, latin America ..., Iraq, Libya ...

The true 'American' spirit is embodied in Albright's answer on the show 60 minutes:

"We have heard that half a million [Iraqi] children have died. I mean, that is more children than died in Hiroshima,” asked Stahl, “And, you know, is the price worth it?” “I think that is a very hard choice,” Albright answered, “but the price, we think, the price is worth it.”

The US kills half a million children with no remorse in order to exploit oil and maintain hegemony. Spectacle, drama and propaganda is fed to the public. That is the essence of the US empire.

Thankfully, there is real hope that the reign of this most evil empire in history may soon end unless they unleash a Samson-ic nuclear holocaust ... no survival without hegemony.
