This is so overblown. Even if true, the report says Russia started when Trump was already a frontrunner. So Russia may have contributed in some way to Trump's election because they thought he would be better for them. Russia may have been a factor but the ground was already ripe for the arrival of a Trump-like character (an “impulsive, mentally unstable and unbalanced individual who suffers from an inferiority complex” according to the purported leak and "a malignant narcissistic psychopath" according to "“The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President”).

In the end, Trump was better for Russia in some ways and wasn't in others. In particular, the number one purported aim, lifting sanctions, did not happen and on the contrary got tightened. Would Clinton have been better? Who knows? Foreign policy is guided by the factions of the deep state (intelligence agencies, major corporations and the rest of the military industrial complex) though a president has some effect, especially when he's "mentally unstable and unbalanced"
