This is the heart of the matter. I have met people who openly think and say they deserve better than others and act as this is self-evident. Religion, nationalism and race allows a whole group of people, even otherwise nice people, to think it, to justify it and to directly or indirectly state it.

Equating oneself with every other is the foundation and starting point of all ethics and morality.
