Using advanced air defense systems means exposing radar and guidance control locations. Exposing such locations other than in a full-fledged war means a huge redeployment effort for relatively meager benefit or risk preemptively losing such capability when it’s really needed.

As for our airport, it is a given by all Lebanese that Lebanon will suffer huge infrastructure losses and is accepted by many as the nature and probable ultimate price of living next to an empire’s major outpost. Hopefully, China and the global south will sweep this empire away soon by irresistible economic changes… and hopefully without nuclear Armageddon.
