Vaccines in the US owe almost everything to immigrants. The US not only taxes the whole world, including the poorest countries, by its dollar tyranny, it also steals the world’s most gifted for most of its innovations in what is colloquially known as the brain-drain. In other words, it keeps the world in turmoil, exploits and taxes them, and when people in those oppressed countries want to escape to stand behind the, metaphoric ‘US cannons of oppression ’, the US selectively opens its doors to those who can benefit its power the most. I left my country some 40 years ago when Israel, US’s satellite, was literally bombing Beirut to go to MIT.

In college, the running joke was that MIT stood for Made In Taiwan. That was because, at that time, about 60% of PhDs were by Asian foreigners not counting foreigners from other regions. The ‘Americans’ were generally the charity cases and were greatly pampered in spite of their highly mediocre performance. It’s not that the US doesn’t have brilliant native-born people, of course they do, it’s that the population of the rest of the world is much larger and has a much larger source of them. In addition, the US culture is much more into business and attracts much of its native academic over-achievers to those of related pursuits.

It is this influx of gifted people who have done critical scientific research and technology that essentially made and makes the US technological advancement possible including its ability to make vaccines. So, any US technology is morally ‘owned’ by the world.
